Add on a Stuffed Kong, LickiMat or Bully Stick break to give pup a break from the pack throughout the day!* Kongs + LickiMats are made with all natural peanut butter and plain yogurt for a special treat that’s good for all pups - even the ones with sensitive tummies and food allergies! We also offer 6” odor-free Barkworthies bully sticks that are made in the U.S. so pup can get their chew on and you can feel good about giving them a treat that’s not only tasty but good for them too!

WHAT’S INCLUDED?

  1. During your pup’s day of daycare/boarding stay our Trainer will pull your dog out of the daycare Zone and give them a one-on-one break in our Enrichment Room.

PLAY + TRAIN

Have a pup who could benefit from extra enrichment at daycare? Does Fido need a little added mental stimulation during a longer boarding stay? Want pup to have a little basic manners brush up during the day? Try our new Play + Train program!

We use only positive reinforcement techniques while training your dog and training treats are provided. If your dog has any food allergies please let our Trainer know right away.

PLAY + TRAIN: $30

WHAT’S INCLUDED?

  1. During your pup’s day of daycare our Trainer will pull your dog out of the daycare Zone and give them a 30-minute one-on-one session in our Enrichment Room.

  2. Each day has a new enrichment activity and will focus on polite behaviors and/or brushing up on basic manners.

    This daycare add-on is not for dogs who need to learn NEW skills but would benefit from a repetition of skills they already know or some extra stimulation.

CANCELLATION POLICY: A Play + Train session may be canceled up until 9am the day of the session without penalty. Cancellations made after 9am will be charged the full price of the session.

BARK + TRAIN

At Bark+Boarding we understand the importance of providing comprehensive training options for your beloved furry friends. That's why we are thrilled to offer our exclusive Bark+Train program, designed specifically for dogs who are regular participants in our daycare or structured daycare services.

Program Overview: Bark+Train is a specialized dog training program that focuses on individualized attention and customized training sessions. With four one-hour training sessions and one transfer session, we provide a comprehensive training experience. But wait! It’s gets better! The cost of daycare on Bark+Train session days is INCLUDED in the cost of the program!

Our Bark+Train program addresses:

  • Leash Manners: Teaching dogs to walk politely on a leash.

  • Polite Greetings/Jumping: Correcting jumping behavior and encouraging polite greetings.

  • Mat/Place Work: Training dogs to go to a designated spot or mat and stay there.

  • Sit and Down: Reinforcing basic commands for sitting and lying down.

  • Grooming Desensitization or Body Handling: Helping dogs become comfortable with grooming procedures and handling.

  • Recall: Teaching dogs to come when called reliably.

  • Name Recognition: Strengthening your dog's response to their name.

  • Leave It/Drop It: Training dogs to release objects on command and avoid picking up items.

  • Wait/Stay: Establishing self-control and patience by teaching dogs to wait or stay in position.

Note: The Bark+Train program does not cover reactivity issues/behavior modification or advanced training needs. For dogs requiring specialized training, we offer alternative programs tailored to specific behavioral challenges. Please inquire for more details.

Bark+Train training cannot be added onto a Boarding stay.

WHAT’S INCLUDED?

  1. Consultation and Training Plan: The program begins with a consultation to understand your dog's needs and goals. We will create a personalized training plan tailored to your dog's specific requirements and behaviors.

  2. Duration and Scheduling: Bark+Train consists of four consecutive weeks of training sessions. Each session is one hour in length and conducted with just the dog and our trainer. These individual sessions allow for focused attention and tailored training techniques. We concentrate on one primary cue or behavior (with the possibility of incorporating a second cue if approved by the trainer). Please note that our program focuses on basic commands only. What’s better than that? The day of daycare is INCLUDED in the cost of the Bark+Train program!

  3. Transfer Session: The transfer session, which includes the dog trainer and the owner, must be scheduled either during the same week as the last training session or the following week.

  4. Email Support and Resources: Throughout the program, you will receive email support, including homework assignments, valuable tips, and video references. These resources will assist you in continuing the training progress at home and reinforcing the behaviors initiated by the trainer.
